Two kinds of logic
- Display logic: the question appears only when its conditions are met. Example: show "What went wrong?" only if the respondent is a detractor on the NPS question.
- Branching after answering: after a question is answered, jump straight to another question or to a specific end screen.
Both live under the Logic button on the question.
Create a display rule
- Open the question you want to show or hide and press Add display logic.
- Pick the source question, the condition, then the value.
- Add more conditions and choose whether all or any of them must be met.
Conditions depend on the question type: equals / does not equal / is any of, greater than / less than / between for numbers, contains / does not contain for text, is answered / is not answered, and for NPS: promoter (9–10), passive (7–8), detractor (0–6).
Create a branch
- On the question press Add branch.
- Define: if the answer … go to … (a later question, the default end screen, or a named end screen).
End screens
In Settings → End screens create more than one closing screen (for example one for promoters inviting them to review you on the app store, and one for detractors apologising and promising a call). Route to them with branching.
Logic map
The Logic map button lists every rule in the survey in one read-only view, so you can review it before publishing.
Tips
- After publishing, take the survey yourself from the link and walk every path.
- Rules that point to a deleted question show as "Unavailable question" and are ignored when answering; remove them.
